The Birkin bag
The Birkin bag (or simply, Birkin) is a line of tote bag. Birkin bags are handmade from leather and are named after the English actress and singer Jane Birkin.
The bag quickly became a symbol of wealth and exclusivity due to its high price and assumed long waiting lists.
Birkins are a popular item with handbag collectors, and were once seen as the rarest handbag in the world.
THE KELLY BAG
In the late 1950s, legend has it that Grace Kelly, a Hollywood star turned princess of Monaco, was photographed holding the bag over her stomach to conceal the early signs of her pregnancy.
The bag shot to international fame and was renamed the Kelly.
The Constance bag
The bag was first designed by Catherine Chaillet in 1959 and was given the name in honour of her fifth child, Constance, having delivered the baby the same day that the first Constance left the production store.
The Picotin bag
The Picotin bags design was taken from the nosebags horses wore, which allowed them to walk and feed simultaneously. The trim bag was used to be filled with hay and put around the neck of the horse.
The Bolide Bag
The word bolide meant meteor at first and then in the twentieth century the French called the fast new cars 'bolides'. Emile created this bag for a friend who was passionate about the automobile in 1923. After finding the zipper in America he attached this to the bolide and the bag as we know it was born.
The Lindy Bag
Designed by Friederic Vidal, the bag was created as a homage to the American Street Dance, Lindy Hop.
As of today, all sizes are still being produced except the Lindy 45 (also known as the Lindy Voyage).
